Hi all, is it possible to enable sound for certain emails in my 9700? I don't mean the incoming email sound but on certain emails there is a sound played when it opens?

In email filters in BIS you can set certain emails (defined by the filter settings) to be level one, and on the device you set the desired ringtone for level one.

You can also set custom ringtones for contacts.

For custom ringtones? Open a contact to edit it, and use the field there to set custome ring tone/alert for phone and/or messages.

For filters on BIS, use the manage internet email app. Select Filters from the menu.

It's for an email i get from a marine traffic notification that makes a sound when you open it, at least it does on my PC.

Just because it does on the PC, doesn't mean it will on the BB.

So it's an HTML email with an embedded audio, sort of like the images that are linked get downloaded when the email is opened? Just curious. I agree with 'Draven, if it isn't already doing it on the blackberry, there's no way to enable it. (And personally I'm glad....but that's me.)
