Works fine just tryed it. It switches you over to the phone app once you hit send SMS so its not really from the home screen. No its not stuck in number mode it works just like it shoudl work now

Right,, but it's not initially stuck in number mode when you hit a contact and select email of SMS text? That would be a huge help!!!! Thanks for the report,, I’m going to do the upgrade tonight when I get home…

The ringer stops when you are rollling the trackball but at least it starts ringing again when you stop rolling. A big improvement!

Also I have noticed the O/S is quicker and overall more responsive to input from both the trackball and keyboard.

Way to go RIM, keep the improvements coming...

Yes Brickbreaker is now a joy to play once again. When I first got the pearl I was like Oh this sucks but now you can really get into it like the trackwheel days! i had to turn the trackball sensitivy back down again it was nice. Anyone notice any improvement to the medi part of the unit? I dont have a microcard yet so I cant really test anything out.

I noticed that for a split seconed I sent an email and everything was back to normal. It must be another small bug. I guess you fix one you find another But i can live with that one compared to what I used to have. I cant wait to see future OS updates!!

Apparently everyone and their mom is downloading the new OS - I have been trying for 15 minutes and everytime the download gets reset by the website lol. Maybe tonight I'll finally be able to download it... haha

I just followed the link to the RIM site and am downloading the software... But now it says it's BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.2.0.61 (Multilanguage) although the thread title says .51 -- Is this another new version already???

I can also confirm that your MP3 ringtons while stop when you want after recieving a text message. I thought I read some place that the whole song would play through and there was no way to stop it untill it finished. I just recieved a text and hit enter - the tune stopped playing completly! I guess they have almost all the little buggies work out of this thing!

I just disabled it. That led was annoying the hell out of me.

My delivery status for PIN/Messenger just started working so, it was probably something network related.

I found two bugs!!! The one that everyone has noticed so far. The light staying green after a call.
The other is when you miss a call and click view on the pop up screen it dos not show up!! you have to exit out of that screen go to the apps list and then into phone app then you will see what call you missed =( kind of a pain in the butt to see who's call you missed. atleast there dosen't seem to be any problems with the missed call icon not going away. I also noticed it takes the trackball a call or two to start changing colors properly if you have it set to do so.

also new is if you click on pictures in the media section it brings up all your folder but now there is a new folder called my faves icons.

and they it appears they took away one of my favorite features which was in the zen today screen under messages it would show your current bb messenger conversations or your google talk conversations it no longer does this

I would HIGHLY recomend you do NOT UPGRADE to this. There's a reason they haven't posted it on the T-MO site, because it's buggy as hell.

Anytime a call comes in the green light comes on and stays solid. Also your BB messenger contacts won't show up under messages anymore in the zen theme. It's lame lame lame. I'm guessing since rogers doesn't have this upgrade it's a test that they're doing pre-release and they haven't tested it. I strongly advise not doing the upgrade.

Anyone know how to downgrade back to the t-Mobile supplied version without completely losing everything?
