Default How to disable Firewall?

Please Login to Remove!

I have werry big problem, i have bought the blackberry 7230 but in my country there is no Data plans, internet goes through gprs and i have readed that i could surf using opera mini, but when i start it and it do some checkings i got the following error

"the application operette $2dhifi has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall wich is not allowed by your IT policy"

I think that IT policy is disabled, becouse i can install new software and i dont see anything about IT in security TAB. And when i try to disable firewall and i go to Firewall it say enabled but the only one other option is to reset the firewall there is no option to disable it.

What i need to do to disable it, oh maybe the problem is not there?

if your only option is to reset the firewall, do that.

Normally, at Options > Advanced > Security, you would find the opton to disable the firewall.

If you purchased the BB for your own personal use and it has IT Policies loaded, then you need to remove them. See the above post to do that. If you are on a corporate BES and your company loaded the IT Policies, then you should not do it.

Even after removing the IT policy you can't "disable" the firewall. The IT Policy removal process should get rid of the message you are referring to in your original post, though.

Rockgin,do you have Options > Security (not under Advanced, my mistake). Firewall setting is there.

Otherwise, I am not sure what the problem is. I will suggest that you uninstall Opera Mini, and try reinstalling it.
