yes it appears that all mms problems have been fixed. and once again if you go here (http://mms.nextel.com/mms/) and long into your Nextel account you can confirm that you are getting all your messages

Does anyone know where the update went ? I just connected my new 8350i to replace my defective one and DM cannot find any updates and states that .83 is the most current version. What is going on ??

I tried getting the update through my Desktop Software and on BB website. There are no updates available. It says v4.6.1.83 is the latest. Does anyone know what happend?

Spoke with Nextel / Sprint CS last night and the guy read an email to me that he received regarding the .112 update.

Basically, it was released in error and has caused numerous phones to lock up and need replacement. In addition, it was not fully developed and tested which is why the direct send folder was not working properly and some third party applications were incompatible. There WILL BE a fully functional update released in mid February.

The tech advised me to re-install the .83 software and wait for the final version to be released. If I continue to use the phone with the .112 update I am basically on my own if I have problems since it is NOT being supported by Nextel / Sprint.

However, my sms/mms has been working perfectly

.112 has been pulled and is no longer available.

If you can find the software what will you do if you turn the phone into a paperweight ???

I would strongly recommend a full backup through DM before attempting this upgrade. If you destroy the phone you will be able to restore your data after receiving a new phone that you may have to pay for.

You really can't destroy your phone. You simply use JL_CMDER to wipe and reinstall another OS. The underlying firmware is untouched.

it won't hurt yous phone at all... mine seems to work quite well. as far as where to find it. I got if off device manager. does anyone know if it stores it anywhere on your computer before it installs it on your phone?
