Default Calendar Acceptence Emails not Removing

Please Login to Remove!

BES - Domino 4.1.4.15

I am not sure where to post this so I am posting this here. If I create a meeting and users accept my meeting, it will send me an email saying John Smith accepting my meeting.

If I delete this meeting from my Notes Client, it doesn't automatically delete this email. Normal emails delete just fine but any emails related to Calendar events will not delete.

Has anyone seen this issue before?

...deleting the meeting from your calendar will not delete the email from your mailbox. you need to delete in both places.

So even though I delete the acceptence emails from my Inbox, it will not automatically delete that email from my Blackberry?

...think i misread the question. you are deleting the message from your inbox on your computer and it isnt translating to your BB unit?

That is correct. Normal emails delete fine from my BB if I delete them from my Inbox but any emails relating to Calendar Events such as acceptences are not deleted from my BB if I delete them from my Inbox.

Let us know what you find out because I too have experienced the same thing. I have learned to adapt. Our company uses Lotus Notes Domino as well. The good news is the item changes from "not read" to "read" font so at least I know those are the ones to safely delete. The ones that are "not read" are the ones that require attention.

Do let us know what you find. Thanks for posting.

FYI Here is what I found out so far:
When you delete the emails in your inbox those messeges are still in your Mail File and thus never get deleted from your Blackberry because they are still associated with a Calendar Entry. When you delete the Calendar Entry, it deletes those messeges from your Inbox

So that is what is happening.

have found the setting in Notes that will make those Calendar emails delete from the inbox instead of just removing them form the view. By default it just removes them from the view and hidden to the user so in realtiy it still exists in your mail file which is why it is still on your Blackberry. Please do the following steps:

Tools->Perferences->Calendar & To Do->AutoProcess.

If you check the bottom there is an option for Automatic Inbox Management. Change this to Prompt to Confirm Deletion.

Now when you delete a calendar entry the a box will pop up. Remember to Uncheck the "In the future, always remove Calendar and To Do entries..." and then click on Delete.

This fixed the issue
