Default Two questions on new Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All, I'm new to the forums and have been doing a lot of reading/understanding about my new Blackberry 8700g that was given to me through work.

I have Cincinnati Bell Wireless, which is part of the AT&T network.

Anyway, I am hoping that I can add to the forum with what I've learned, and continue to learn more.

I have two initial questions:
(1) I'm trying to set it up as a tethered modem, and closely followed the instructions in the setup thread. For other CBW customers, you have to use "wap.gocbw.com" as the APN. I can get it to connect with no errors...everything looks fine, but when I open a web page it doesn't bring anything up. It acts like it doesn't see a DNS server...just says "Looking for google.com" down at the bottom the window.

(2) The second thing is that I set my yahoo account up to receive email messages about 3 hours ago. I've sent several test emails to the account and for some reason just isn't forwarding them.

Anyone have any ideas on these issues?

Thanks in advance for any help! I look forward to contributing to the forums...

Thanks for the suggestion, I just added it to the 8700x forum. Mods, if that forum is more appropriate, pls feel free to delete this thread.
