Default Jawbone 2

Please Login to Remove!

I just received one from my work and I have to say I am impressed. I had the original Jawbone and returned it to the store. I was a little reluctant at first to get the Jawbone 2, but am way happy with the newest version. I would highly recommend it.

I had the original JawBone and gave it to one of my family members so I could get the JawBone 2.

I really didn't think they could make it better then the first JawBone but the new one it so light I barely remember I am wearing it, not to mention the voice quality is amazing. An amazing improvement.

Good to see the positive feedback here. I've considered the JB2, but saw some negative feedback on Howard Forums regarding it.

I also went from the original JB to the JB2, and I'm extremely impressed. Seems like Aliph took the advice of users and really made an excellent unit. I would recommend it to anyone.

I love the new Jawbone. Superb sound. Great form factor. Wish it had a mini USB charger, but life's tough some times. Great quality.

Are there any issues with bluetooth connectivity / reliability with the 8830? I had read some complaints a while ago about that...

I have connectivity issues with my Jawbone 2 which, incidentally, are exactly the same issues that I had with the first one. Specifically, whenever I get an email, the Jawbone disconnects and then reconnects, and I have to wait for that annoying screen telling me about the disconnect/connect before I can use the BB again. This happened on my Curve and now my Bold with both Jawbone models.

Does anyone have this issue. I also have a BlueAnt Z91 which does not have this problem.

I never had that problem, which either JawBone 1/2 and I've used both JawBones with both an 8830 and 8330. Maybe it's something with the 9000, are you running the latest OS?

Have you tried the normal battery pull and/or repairing the JB2 with yout BlackBerry?

I also have both Jawbone's. What I don't like about the new one is it does not stay in my ear as well as the original. I am a service tech working in rooms with temperatures of about 100 degrees. Of course you are going to sweat a little, the old Jawbone works better for me. I'm going to have to start my search for a new headset.

I bought a custom ear piece from Avery Sound and it fits great. I have to turn the volume almost all of the way down during a call. My problem is the ringer volume as well as the startup volume. I put some cotton in to help but it is almost painful when it rings. I emailed the jawbone people and they anly said they don't recommend that type because it can cause hearing loss. I suppose it can if you can't adjust it! I would have needed it I could have gotten it to fit better. Does anyone know of a hack to make the ringer quieter?

I found that the fit of later Jawbone was 100% better than the original, especially since I didn't have to do any tweaking to the new one. The original I had to play with and buy new earpieces and all sorts of stuff, but this one I literally took out of the box and it fit perfectly...but everyone is different and that's what makes finding a good headset difficult.

And good luck with the 100 degree weather, can't imagine running around in that all day.

The new jawbone is a complete overhaul IMO of the old one. The fit is perfect, the sound is amazing, and I haven't had a single complaint about others not being able to hear me. I live near the ocean, and am constantly outside in windy conditions, and people are amazed at how well they can hear me.

I was some what skeptical when I bought this unit, because I was dissapointed in the original. But I would say go for it, excellent unit and you won't be sorry.

Hope this helps.

I had both JB's and returned them both. Could never get used to the predominantly treble sound in my ear. Could never get either to sit tight in my ear either.

Can you play mp3 through the JB2 when synchronizing it with the Bold?
