Default Help! Battery symbol with red line though it!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi chaps,

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, I've had a search around and have had no luck thus far.

Anyway, the problem:

My phone shows a white screen with a battery symbol with a red line through it.

No buttons work, and I have to take the battery out for it to turn off. As soon as I put the battery back in, there are a few seconds pause, and then it comes back again.

The battery is an official one, and I haven't had any problems up until this point.

The problem started when I tried to charge the phone. It seems to stem from charging but continues after having removed the charger.

Any help as to what to do would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Jimmy.

Welcome to the forums.

Try charging the battery for a few hours, then removing and reinserting the battery.

Thanks for the reply jsconyers. I should have added in my original post that the battery has plenty of charge left in it. I will however give it a shot as I have tried most other things!

Thanks,

Jimmy.

Sorry to post again but am keen to see if anyone else's blackberry has suffered the same fate?! Did you manage to fix it, even temporarily?

I desperately need it to be working!

I am in the process of trying the tip given to me above, but would appreciate any others as well!

Thanks,

Jimmy.
