Default Had OWA/BIS working with 2003, now upgraded to 2007, not working

Please Login to Remove!

My company only gives BES access to VPs. For a few months I was able to get around this by setting up my BB with BIS using our OWA2003. My company just upgraded to OWA2007. I have tried updating my account and it keeps saying "an error occured during email account validation"........

Does OWA2007 work with BIS? Is there another way around this? I can't LIVE without my BB!!!!

It should work, unless your company disabled OWA access when they upgraded to 2007. Unfortunately for folks like us who are too far down the food chain to rate access to the corporate BES, this is more and more common as firms protect their corporate information with more restrictive policies.

You might try upgrading your OS to the latest for your model, 4.5.0.174 (sticky at the top of the 8300 forum). Outlook 2007 had some issues with Blackberrys and older OS versions. I thought all that was straightened out by the release of the 8330, but if your OS version is older it may still be an issue.

It depends on how the hub servers are configured. In Exchange 2003 the front end servers routed directly to the mailbox server. This is not the case in 2007.
