Angry Key Tones

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone heard if Rim is ever going to fix the problem were your can not turn off the key tones when you’re manually dialing a number from the home screen or from the phone screen?
This problem is getting old; I thought it would have been fixed by now.

I'm really, really curious as to why you would want to turn these off?

On 7100 series and 8700 series go to options > screen/keyboard.

There is an option to turn off keytones.

Wow that's really odd. I would like to try this out. I'll stop into a Cingular store on my way home from work to play around with one for a bit. I have to go there anyway to pay my bill.

Stopped by cingular today and checked out the key tone deal on one of the 7130's they had. Put my sim in it and tried to turn off the key tone and it wouldn't turn off.

Crazy stuff. Couldn't find anywhere to turn it off either.

Yea there is no way to turn them off.
The switch is located at [Options > Screen\Keyboard > Key Tone] but if you set it to off it does not do a dam thing.....

Thanks for looking, sounds like the problem is with the whole 71xx line....
