i had a dropped call issue with this os - happened a couple of times since upgrading. I wonder if the issue has come back again.

I know the menu button shortcuts are new, but has holding the escape key down during browsing always brought up the 'Do you want to close the Browser?' dialogue? I knew that repeatedly tapping the button until you got to that point worked. If this has always been the case, it's a new one on me.

That's a Browser configuration option and yes i have always had that functionality since a long time.

Good thing I've been using the Menu-> Close option all this time or I'd really be wearin' it! LOL Thanks for the info.

Edit: I'm not seeing an option under Browser configuration pertaining to holding the Escape key to completely close out of the browser. I see the option under General properties to Prompt Before Closing Browser on Escape, but it seems like that's just to ask you before closing out, and has nothing to do with being able to close the Browser no matter how many pages deep you are by holding down the Escape key. Are you just saying that it's always been a built-in feature of the browser and it's not configurable?

It's the prompt before you close option. Holding down the escape key I believe triggers the prompt.

Ahhhh...okay. That's where the confusion lies. I was saying that holding down the escape key completely closes you out of the browser no matter how many pages deep you are, and I wasn't sure if that was a new development. I should've left the prompt out altogether.

I don't recall ever being able to close out using the escape key without having to back through every page I had visited until now. I probably just never tried holding down the key to be honest. LOL

You're thinking of the home screen to the icons screen. I meant in any menu. Like when typing an SMS message, you can press the bb button to get the menu. Before, a second press would just close the menu. Now it acts as if you press in the pearl or press the enter key. It selects the menu item it's on. So to send said sms message, just press the bb button twice. It's quicker. And I like it a lot because I always worry about wearing out my pearl so now I don't have to use it as often =)

Memory leak does seem greatly improved, it runs quite smoothly overall and right now I have 65 percent battery. With .234 and .241 I'd be down to 40 percent by now easily.
