Hey all, I'm sure it's been asked but I can't seem to get the search function to show me anything. How do you get wmv's and mpeg's from emails or the SD card to play??!?!?

I'm not sure about the email aspect.

To play mp3 files from an SD card, place them in a folder on the card called:

music

(I think lower case may be important)

pictures (for jpg's)

videos (for video files)

The card shows up as a Removable Disk in Explorer.

You probably can also do it with DesktopManager and its Media module.

WMV files are not supported on the Blackberry. They won't work at this time. Hopefully a future OS update will add this support.

that's what I thought...I"m looking into it right now. I've already converted to BBerry's to the latest OS and they still won't play WMV's.

I'm having a similar problem. If I rip an audio CD directly onto the device, it shows up in the Media Manager, but if I move files to the device to the music directory on my MicroSD card, they won't show up. I allow Roxio to convert them and everything... any takers?

I've been very successfully using CinemaForge to convert my mpeg2 files from my digital video camera to any number of compatible files (What video and audio formats are supported?? - BlackBerryFAQ.com) for the BB. It allows you to adjust bitrate and framesize too.
