Hi,

My BB torch 9800 keeps dropping from my carriers network. I live in The Bahamas and have had the phone for a month now. The battery goes from 80% to flashing red in minutes all of a sudden from time to time.

I also just had the experience of it dropping wireless coverage from my network yesterday. So now they need to reset the account.

Any suggestions why this is happening. I am getting a new battery for one but why is the phone dropping coverage. I take the battery out and put it back and still nothing so now I am using wifi until they open tomorrow.

A friend told me I may need a mother board. If so, where can I get one and how costly is it?

Have you dropped the device or gotten it wet?

It dropped about 2 weeks ago but not from very high...and it is in a protective case. Could this cause this? What should I do?

Absolutely. 9800s are particularly susceptible from damage from falls.

My first advice is to take it to your carrier's shop and see if they will repair or replace it. If not, buy a new one. They can be had for very little money on the Internet.
