Good day,

My colleague have a 8830 registered in the BES. Hes goin to work in our European office for a year, so he bought a Curve in France, with a dataplan over there. i am used to activate 8830s, but when it comes to curves, there is an new option in the activation process: Activation Server Adress what should i enter there?

shuld i delete his user and reattach it on the BES? Or the new phone will be detected automatcally?

You don't need to use the Activation Server Address for activation. Just need the email address and EA password.

No, you don't need to put anything into the Activation Server Address field.

Don't delete his user account on the BES, when you activate the new device, it will copy all of his data/settings over to the new device.

The dataplan must be suitable for BES ( enterprise ). If you go in some shop and buy a device with a dataplan, you can be sure that they sell you the wrong one.

Before doing any further troubleshooting, call the provider and let them confirm/recheck if the SIM/device is correctly provisioned for connecting to your own Blackberry enterprise server.
