Default aim buddy list

Please Login to Remove!

so i got me storm today and everything went fine as far as setup was concerned. however the aim client has all of a sudden lost the ability to get my buddy list. everyone is listed as offline for some strange reason. it was working when i initially set it up, but after i cycled it on and off it stopped working. i tried pulling the battery a couple of times and no dice same result.

Did you try logging in again? It can be set for auto-login or not. Each power cycle will log you out.

I'm having the same glitch on an 8320 curve. Signing in gets the AOL sys msg that i'm signed on in 2 places so i know blackberry's end is working, but for some reason they cant seem to get info on whether buddys are offline or not.

I think this falls with Windows Live almost never working as a problem on the IM's side rather than a BB issue.

yeah i think that is likely the cause, i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the aim client with no difference in outcome. will just wait and see if it resolves itself.

I'm having the same problem, no buddy list for 3hrs now.
I signed on/off, reinstalled aim, sent servicebooks, host routing table and reset several times. I dont want to call tmob cause I know the steps are what I went thru already.

Looks like there might be a system wide problem.

Default Aim Issues

I have been having that issue for the past two days, if i log in and stay logged in after about 45 min, my buddy list will populate. Seems to be a system wide issue....

Default buddies show up as offline for storm

what seems to work with me is while your screenname is singed online through your blackberry sign on through your computer as well under the same name, then from your computer go to edit options and then edit references under my aim, click on privacy then highlight block all users and click apply, then highlight allow all users to contact me and click ok. and give it a few seconds to catch up on the blackberry. If nothing happens still, press refresh list in aim on blackberry. If nothing works still, repeat the entire process again but this time do not have your screenname signed on through your blackberry. Once you have completed the process on your computer sign on from your blackberry and if you don't see anything press refresh list and give it a minute or two. Cannot guarantee this will work and verizon, blackberry and aol don't seem to care about the problem so it may never get resolved. I have also noticed that i have less problems with aim at night.

let me know if this resolves the problem for anyone
