Default twittering and tweets

Why is it that I receive a tweet from someone, that it comes in 2 parts. Why can't my blackberry storm show the complete tweet instead of breaking it into two parts ?

I am using TwitterBerry and I have never had this happen?

If you are using TwitterBerry, try downloading 0.9 Beta 6. I really like it so far.

I am not sure what you mean when you ask me what twitter client am I using. I have Twitter on my desktop and I have selected the option to also send to my mobile, so on my mobile blackberry storm, I receive the tweets in the SMS Icon. Does that make any sense ?

Thanks.

There are several applications for the BlackBerry that allow you to post to twitter and receive messages. This is, IMO, a better option than texting.

TwitterBerry, is that different than the Twitter on my desktop and selecting the option to also send the tweets to my blackberry storm ?

Yes - TwitterBerry is an app that you download that allows you to use Twitter from your BlackBerry

Download it from your BlackBerry here: TwitterBerry for BlackBerry

The issues with it sending more then one text is not something with your Storm, that is Twitter. I am not sure why they do that.

If it comes in as a text message, then there is a 160 character limit per TM. Could be the reason. I am not a tweeter, however.

Twitter has a 140 character limit.

Tweeting via TwitterBerry is a million times better than by text messages. You should definitely give it a try.

...I can't figure out why Following and Leaving actions both return a 'Forbidden!' message in TwitterBerry. Anyone have some insight?

TwitterBerry blows. It's entirely too slow to be useful.

I find Yatca to be much more useful for Twitter. However, it's not a stand-alone twitter app. Yatca integrates with your BlackBerry Mailbox and you can choose what updates you want to receive. Yatca supports TwitPic and other services also.

I've been using TinyTwitter but after downloading UberTwitter, I'm really impressed with the work and thought that went into that app. I might be switching to UberTwitter for good. This is one slick application!
