Default Impossible to install RIM AIM

Please Login to Remove!

I've been trying to install the RIM AIM app. I know it sucks, please don't tell me this.

Session Expired

I agree to the terms & conditions (in Firefox) and it brings me to the next page. It says something about XP Service Pack 2 and such. Doesn't work though.

I try the site in Internet Explorer and it says this:
Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support AOL Instant Messenger for BlackBerry.

Okay.. hmm. Where can I go to install the freakin AIM app for Blackberry??

Or does anyone know of any other AIM app that uses SMS? ..that works?

I believe that the issue is related to AT&T... I remember reading that somewhere along the way.

log in to your at&t account. according to their site, aim, yahoo, and msn can be downloaded to your phone. but the proper way is to send your service books to your device.

As far as I know, AT&T doesn't support the RIM AIM client. Your carrier must support it in order to use it.

Open the MEdia Net browser > Mail and Messaging > Mobile IM.

You can download an AT&T branded version of the OZ IM program for free.

It will allow you to access your AIM, MSN and YIM accounts.

Honestly, just buy JiveTalk and be done with it. People keep wanting free free free, which all of those usually dont work good. If your paying for the data plan, bought the phone, I dont see how 20/30 for a JT license is gonna break your bank. JT is the best out there, no questions about it.

I dont think anyone listed to what the OP was saying. He is looking for an SMS based application and jivetalk has been mentioned a few times.

OZ would be the OP's best choice and it would be readily available to him through MediaNet.

Last question:

Is there anywhere on the internet I can download it and install it on my phone manually.. not through MediaNet?
