For many conference calls the # key is required to confirm the end of a keystroke entry. Yet on my 8310 the alt Q (which should be the # key) does not produce the correct audio sound for the # key on a standard phone. Can anyone tell me how to correct this?
I dont think the alt button is neccessary. When I log into my voicemail at the office, and am prompted to hit #, i just hit the Q/ # key. Hopefully this works.
Like they have said, no alt key is needed. When you are in "phone mode" (using the phone) there isn't a need to hit the alt key when you are using the standard phone keys 0-9 * & #).
Also...
When you need to dial a name, such as 800Blackberry (example) you hold down the alt key for the letters. so you would dial 800 then press and hold the alt key and type BLACKBERRY and then hit send.
