Well looks like I'll have to hold off on my release for my Zelda theme so I can play with the new features to see if I change anything

One downside I've seen with this release (so far) is that you can't export 'custom' themes (e.g. Bottom Zen and Today Plus) for OS 4.2 or 4.3. They can only be exported for OS 4.5...

Am I missing something? I can't seem to create a Today Plus or a Bottom Zen. Just a regular Today, or a regular zen.

I've only got the new one installed.
Would the device simulators have anything to do with it? I pulled down a Verizon 4.3 for the pearl 8130. Figured that should do it.

EDIT: okay, just checked, even though it's the only one I have . . . version shows 3.0.0.27 . . . but a date of june 2, 2008. Is that right?!?!?

Yeup that's it...you should have a option for custom and you have to make your own today plus theme...you have to move things around and such

Okay, I went into custom . . . can move things around . . . but, doesn't the "plus" or "bottom" theme give me that extra "toolbar" of icons across the bottom? I cannot seem to find how to put those in there.

You have to add the zen icons and move them yourself...then position them

I think I've got that down okay . . .
I guess at the moment, I'm using just the regular Today Plus theme from RIM on my device. It has messages, Calendar, and Phone Log. Then, when I flick my trackball down, it auto-raises up another "row" of icons with 5 icons on them.
So, if I do a custom, and put my icons on my main screen, is it going to give me that option of flicking my trackball down to get those extra 5 icons??

No they will be on the bottom or side...they won't hide like the rim's version. You will see them all the time

On a side note...why did I have to find this out tonight...gonna be up late now!

Would you mind clarifying, for me, what you mean by this? What does this accomplish and how do you do it?

Thanks!

Can't wait to see the custom themes from this. I was playing around with it but don't have the creativity (or patience) to make a really nice one.
