Default Email Invalid on Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

I just received a message from Blackberry that informed me the Yahoo email account I have had set up on the device for the last six months is no longer accessible. The message suggested this was caused by a change in my password -- which of course has not occurred.

When I tried to validate the email address, and then, after deleting it, adding it to the device, I am informed that "an error occurred during email account validation," and if the problem persists I should contact my email service provider.

The email account has had absolutely no problems until...oh, about an hour ago, I guess.

Any assistance or insight would be GREATLY appreciated.

Are you able to log in to the email account from the Yahoo! web site?

Yes. I am in my account right now, trying to figure out what is happening.

I did log out on my computer earlier. It made no difference in the attempt to set up the Blackberry.

Hmmm...wonder if this is a temporary issue. I just tested my Yahoo! account and the mail is coming through.

This just happened to me as well, on a rogers.com account (aka yahoo). I can login to the account just fine, but bwc won't validate it.

I'm experiencing the same issue. There's another thread about the same topic as well.

Default Same issues/ Yahoo email

I am also having the same issues. However, its only for my business email account. My personal Yahoo account is still showing up on my BB. If they are working on it, it seems to be an issue with business email only; only, i don't know sqadoosh, so thats just a guess.

Mine is working again!
I deleted my personal yahoo account from my BB then setup it up again.
I also upgraded my BB OS (I have T-mobile).
Messages are coming in a timely fashion, no delay.
Also! When i delete items from my Yahoo inbox, it deletes it from my BB as well! This didnt happen before for me.

A bunch of people had also confirmed it's working again in the other thread. I guess the lesson here is always to have a backup plan.

I had this problem and deleted the account from the 8100 and added it back. It now works okay EXCEPT it is pulling e-mails sent to the inbox and to the spam folder. Kind of sucks getting all the spam on the bb.

Anybody else getting this problem?

Cool Email account no longer accessible on this device

I have a BB pearl on AT&T network. Last night I received a donotreply@blackberry informing me that my email account is no longer accessible by my Blackberry device.

It goes on to say that this could be due to a password change to my account (which is not true). This is a POP3 account and I am receiving emails on my PC from RIM so it is still communicating with my account, but I am not receiving any mail on my BB.

When I log into my account on my BB I am informed to check my login, which is correct.

Has anyone had this problem with the Pearl and AT&T. There is no way that I can see that I can delete this email acct on the Pearl.
