Default Blackberry Bold(9000) vs Blackberry Curve(8330)

Please Login to Remove!

I was on my way to Sprint to purchase a Curve until my friend told me that a new blackberry (Bold 9000) was coming around September and he said it was going to be the best blackberry on the market, so I looked it up on the internet and it was pretty impressive. It had a new interface and kind of looked like an i phone. So now I ask, is it worth the wait? It has wi-fi, and faster internet, so which one should I buy.

Keep in mind the 9000 is a GSM phone and it will take a while for it to get to CDMA carriers such as Sprint.

Go to infoSync - Reporting from the digital frontier. There it tells you the release date for the bold. Its going to be in at&t this summer but for all other carriers (t mobile, sprint, and verizon wireless) will be coming in September

Rumor sites. Until the carriers put it on their web sites and start taking orders, nothing is confirmed. "Coming in September" means nothing. Sorry. Just rumors.

Yep. Some people have been given other dates by some of the carriers directly...

I've had every other GSM BlackBerry made since the 5810; I will get a Bold.

It's beautiful.

The people who wrote that later admitted to it being research with no basis of reality. As others have said, expect the CDMA version of the 9000 sometime next year, at the earliest... very doubtful by the end of 2008 and definitely not in September.

I believe the semi-confirmed CDMA devices for this year are the BlackBerry Thunder (codename for the touchscreen device, which will only be on Verizon) and the QChat-capable BlackBerry on Sprint (not sure of the form-factor, but it seems that I have heard it was the Curve).

Dont care for the smallish screen. I'll stay with my curve till (hopefully) the storm comes out for Sprint.

You revived a 5 month old thread for that comment?

LOL - I was just looking at the dates of the comments and wondering why people were posting in such an old thread.

And yet you all are still waiting on the Bold =(

Go with the Thunder for Christmas and you will not be let down.
