Default what does "filtered" mean?

I have been a BES admin for a few years now...and I never knew or figured out what the filtered column meant within the blackberry admin console...

Can anyone tell me what this means?

If you don't have any filters explicitly configured, and the filtered counter keeps incrementing, then the filtered messages are messages that weren't sent to the handheld while it was in cradle. By default, each user in the BES is setup to disable email redirection while in cradle. I too didn't know what the filtered column meant until I realized users were getting emails in the inbox but not on their BB's when they had it connected to the cradle. I have since disabled the "disable redirection while in cradle option" to ensure all messages are sent to the BB.

As far as I know, this isn't a global setting and can only be changed from within each users properties under the redirection tab.
