Default Bluetooth doesn't work with other cellulars?

I tried to send files from another mobile device to my Blackberry Bold via Bluetooth and they keep saying sending failed. Is it 'cause other mobile devices can't send it to Blackberries? I did manage to send files over to the other mobile though.
