however... since i did that my blackberrymaps doesnt work anymore...i assume i need to permit users to their site... any idea what that is?

I'm not sure what Blackberry Maps uses (I seem to remember it varies by region). However, if you want to see what sites any application accesses (without the browsing restriction in place), turn on verbose HTTP logging:

BES Manager
MDS-CS_1 (or whatever yours is numbered)
Properties
Logs
Verbose HTTP Logging enabled
True

then you'll get details of the sites being accessed in the BES MDAT log in the daily directories. Your MDAT log files will get much bigger, though.
