My wife has a 9700 that she charges each night on an OEM charging cradle. When she puts takes it from her purse and puts the phone on the dock it is locked. In the morning she she puts the phone in her purse it's unlocked. Is there a setting somewhere to leave the phone locked when removed from the cradle? She is on software 5.0. She hated 6.0. Thanks!

Your are talking about the simple keypad lock?

I wasn't aware of this behavior. However, I just tested on 9700/5.0.0.714 and indeed the device keypad lock unlocks when disconnected from the charger. There is no setting that I'm aware of.

My suggestion is to use a password and set a suitable time out.
