Hi folks, another question which hopefully someone can answer.

I set up a custom alert for when my daughter leaves me a text, however, now everytime i get a voice mail message left, that custom tone is used for the voice mail alert and i can't seem to find out where i can change it back to what it was.

I know custom alerts are a pain in the arse with this latest OS so is this another of those quirks of the software or what?

It is driving me nuts trying to figure it out.

A voicemail notification is an SMS, hence it will use the SMS tone set.

But it is using the custom one i set for my daughter rather than the normal one, or is it not possible to set a custom one for sms without it being used for all sms mesages and voice mail?

You have no idea how much I wish it were possible with using just the regular OS sound mappings. I'm looking into whether or not a third-party BB application exists, which can perform that specific function. I will report back here shortly.
