Has anyone figured out a way to install software updates using a MAC? I was gonna try Virtual PC but i think I read somewhere here that it doesn't work to well. Any suggestions??

See my signature below, note the PocketMac Blackberry sync. Best $29 you'll spend for you Mac!

As far as I can tell there is no way to do the updates without a PC. I'm using PocketMac for syncing, and it's working quite well for me, absolutely worth the $29 (I sync with Entourage, but it claims to also sync with iCal/AddressBook and with the Now applications). Rumor has it that the PocketMac developer will be trying to add application loader capability to a future version of PocketMac. But at this point, I'm relying on friends with PCs to do my application loading (Berry411) and OS updates.

if you are computer-savvy, you could install vmware on osx and then see if that works. after a bit of tweaking with a desktop at work running linux, we managed to get the USB drivers working properly from within vmware to enable communication and charging with a 7100t... i don't see any issues with installing the latest vmware on osx...

Is there VMWare for Mac OS X?

The only emulator I knew of was Virtual PC.
