Ive had my phone since 18/dec 09 and has been working fine up until today, when i woke up i tried to unlock my keypad and it wouldnt work so i removed the battery and put it back in powered up the phone etc.... i managed to get it unlocked but when ever i press the menu button the camera comes on so i cannot access the menu and voice dailing activates when i press the trackpad wtf is going on????? Any help would be much appretiated as its frustrating me now....

I've tried wiping the phone and its still the same.

Did you get any moisture in the phone?

No its not been near water its just happend out of the blue

Welcome to BBF.

First thing I would probably do is back-up your device, so that in case things go from bad to worse, you'll be able to restore your data at a later time.

There's a lot of things I'll probably try out but in the end, a wipe of the device may be needed. and that's after I have backed-up my device.

as i said in the first post ive tried wiping it still the same.

Try removing the media card although I am not optimistic. Seems like a hardware issue. I would return the phone if able

ive rang my carrier and they're sending a replacement out tomorrow seems like the easiest option thanks for ur assistance

Excellent. I have an 8530 which I love. However, although new, its not one of the better quality phones. That is why it was first to get the trackpad. I am glad your carrier will assist.
