I have installed the Facebook for BlackBerry application and have configured it to my email (hotmail) for BB but for some reason it is not sending the msgs through to the email on my phone??
I know it is not an email fault because I am still getting emails from others through my hotmail.
All I am getting is this little blue 'f' notification with a red flag at the top of my BB screen and then to read the notification i have to open my whole FB app up.

I have tried deleting and re-downloading the app and deleting and re-configuring the email. Does any one know what to do??

Also, how can I get rid of the 'Messages' icon on my scroll bar so I can just use my email icons and sms/mms icons. Also how do I stop message being sent to BOTH my Messages and Email inbox's at the same time...

Thats how it works.
The FB app intercepts the email from hotmail on the BB, so that the notification is displayed in the app. You then have to open the app and go to notifications to read it.

You can highlight messages and menu - hide.

is there any way for it not to intercept? can i download a different application where it will send to my email etc. instead?
it was doing it the way i wanted to start with but then i did something and it started intercepting.. when i went on fb on my computer it showed i had 2 fb applications (one for mobile & one for BB).

is there any way I can just have a mobile application? thanks again.. probably should have posted this in the apps threads

Nope, just uninstall the app.
And go to facebook mobile on your blackberry browser.
