I have a n00b question to ask. I couldn't really find this when searching, and I know I should know this by now. How do the notifications for appointments work. Does it sync up with your notifications from your mail server? I am using groupwise. I go into the calendar and open the appointment and set the reminder. That works but is there a way to set it to defaul to say notify you 5 minutes before your appointment without having to manually change each appointment?
Yes, if you are on a bes. When you make changes to appointments the changes will sync with your device or client software the next time it polls it.
I am not sure how one would change the default notification time, depends on the client you are using.
Thanks for the quick reply. I thought it might have polled with the mail server. One of my users were not getting notifications on their Groupwise or their device. I had him turn on notifications and send himself an appointment. He was notified on his groupwise account, however the blackberry did not notify him. I will have him pull the battery (never hurts, always helps) and try again.
OK, here is an update. The user is now getting notifications on groupwise but not on his blackberry. I had him schedule an appointment from groupwise and from his blackberry. He was only notified on groupwise. I had him check his appointment on his blackberry and there was a reminder set to 5 mins. However he did not receive a reminder on his device. Any help with this would be appreciated!
