i have a 9700 bold, the phone loads a bit then keeps rebooting over and over, so thought would try to update my os. but it didnt work in dm stuck at connecting to jvm and same happend with apploader..

cant wipe with bbsak because my phone is not getting recognised and same with jl_cmder..i go through the options after i type in "blackberry" it shows a red screen for a sec then goes back to main menu

hey,
im having a similar problem. my BB0700 suddenly shuts down. for a while, all i had to do was a battery pull and it would work fine. but now its not coming on.
when i connect it to a USB, the red LED indicator comes on for about a minute, during which the laptop detects the device.

while connected, i have tried updating software, it proceeds fine until the time it reaches the JVM message...then it stops detecting the phone.

PLEASE HELP!!

yes i have gone on this link and tried out all the possibilities except for jl_cmder.

i have some data which i need to recover,

i have even tried the FAQ - is your blackberry nuked?? same problem, it reaches to the point of jvm, then loses connection
