I have the usb sync cable connected to my pc to sync my calendar through the Desktop Manager. I just noticed that it is not charging the Storm. It does not have the little yellow lightning bolt. Should it not also charge the device while connected to sync? or I am wrong about that? If it should, has anyone else seen this?

It should charge if the battery is less than 100%. If it's already charged, it won't charge. I

1 cable is just a data cable, does not charge,
other cable costs little more is a data cable and charger,
if its a freebie that came with the phone most likely its just a data cable,
most USB cables are interchangable
i use the same data/charging cable for phone, gps, other gadgets

Not correct. The micro-USB cable that ships with the Storm does indeed charge the device. Every USB cable that ships with a BlackBerry also charges the device.

I've noticed that sometimes the bolt will be on..and it'll still be at 80% or so, but when I turn it off and then back on...it shows at 100%. It may be a bug in the OS not updating the status or something...also..the computer usb takes forever to charge the storm...other have noted that as well.
