I will keep mine until a few months after the 8800 comes out to see how people like it. Then decide whether or not to keep/sell the 8100.

I can see myself having mine for two years unless it fails. It's top notch!

I really don't understand why people would purchase it knowing they like and prefer QWERTY keyboards and knowing the Pearl doesn't have it?

For what it does [being a smartphone] I think the Pearl does an excellent job. Overall it is one of the best phone's/PDA/SmartPhone/Whatever you want to call it- I've used. The camera isn't anywhere near the best, keys would probably be hard to type if you have bigger fingers, at times they squeak. I think Battery life is pretty good and I wish it came stock case. I think those little indiosyncracies doesn't make it a bad phone at all. Sometimes you suffer other things for looks and consumer demand.

Thinking about it, I want the 8800 pretty bad cause it has wi-fi. I don't need the camera cause I carry one with me all the time.

Well, based on the poll results so far, you must have had all your friends vote no Cause the rest of us have kept them.

I just bought a second one myself...

I'm a project manager and for once in my life I'm not lugging around some huge brick & I can type as fast on this thing as on any full querty KB. It took about 1 day to get used to it.

I like being "cool" and a geek

I thought this poll was shot and thrown into a ditch. The OP was fake as some things at a Hooter's bar [I'm talking about the supposed hardwood floors, pervert].

Care to provide your demographics, as the Dash is marketed toward a certain crowd. Just curious if the Wall Street Journal is correct.

That's right. His bogus poll is like walking into Hooters and asking the guys "How many men in here like women?"

So, I just got the pearl yesterday, and so far I'm loving. I just came off using the 7100t for a year, and eventually became fed up with it's lack of speed, features, camera, gprs web surfing etc. My contract was up, so I when I went to renew, they offered me a pearl for 25 bucks after rebate. how can you pass that up?! I ALMOST got the dash..but they wouldn't give me nearly that much of a discount so I went with the pearl. i was hesitant because cnet rated it 7.3..but once I started playing with, I was happy because i'm now familiar with how the BBos works. So, all in all, i like it alot, can't wait to get a microsd card for it, and am not giving it away.

Likes:

GREAT screen
Pearl is cool
Camera is decent enough
Media capabilites are welcome
<3 EDGE
More flexiblity as far as bluetooth is concerned

Dislikes:

No a2dp bluetooth profile support
No streaming video/flash support

All in all, an AMAZING phone.
