Why is it, that I cannot seem to find a case that I want for my 8900!!
It seems like everyone makes cases for the storm and the bold, but, the red-headed step child of the blackberry family seems to be the 8900
WHY?

Try looking for cases for the 8300 series. I believe that the device dimensions are identical.

just so you know, if you get a 8300 case it more then likely will not put the device to sleep with the magnet, as the magnet was relocated on the 8900... the only case that i know of that will still put the 8900 to sleep is the seidio spring holster... any and every other leather holster i have seen/used does not work to put it to sleep

The dimensions are very close, but not perfect. Plus, the buttons, mic, camera and USB port don't line up the same.
I have a Body Glove Silicone case with swivel clip mount on the back. Since I can't find something similiar for the 8900, I cut the appropriate holes and slots so I could access the buttons, the microphone hole and the camera. It works, and it is better than a couple other options I tried, but it looks like Frankenstein.
I email Body Glove and they stated that it isn't up to them when it is made, it is up to Fellowes, since they make their cases. I tried contacting Fellowes and they had no idea what I was talking about.

It's frustrating.

I have a BSE on my phone, and a silicone case. I wish there were more accessories, and I really want best buy to start stocking them. I have a $25 gift certificate waiting until the day they are finally stocking 8900 accessories.

The 8300 is a little wider and maybe a tiny bit thicker than the 8900. Be careful with that. Man the Vaja cases are cool looking. I wish the slipcase had a magnet in it and I'd probably get it for $70. The fact it has nylon webbing on the sides is not that great but the leather looks very cool in those colors.

Try ebay they are putting more and more things on there every day. i got a OEM holster car and extra home charger 2 screen protectors and the rubber hard case all for under 35. you would pay almost that much just for the holster
