Default Standby Mode or Keyboard Lock

Please Login to Remove!

*Standby, lol.

Whenever I'm not using my phone, I got to the habit of pressing on the mute key on the top of the phone and it goes to standby mode.

Now, my question is. Which one is better of the two, when the phone's not in use, standby mode or keyboard lock?

Thanks.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

They both do about the same thing! Matter a preferrence if you ask me!

Standby mode puts it in a low-power mode which helps to conserve battery power.

Keyboard lock just locks the keys.

If you are putting it in the holster, it doesn't matter because the magnet automatically puts it in standby mode. But if you are slipping it "un-holstered" in your pocket, standby mode will not only prevent key presses, but should conserve battery power.
