Default BBSpell vs eSpell

Please Login to Remove!

Who has either or both of these programs and knows the pros and cons. Do you have to pay for them yearly or I think eSpell can work without a server.

Since I am biased, I'll just recommend that you try them both. A free eval of bbSpell is available at www.somedevelopers.com/download.htm and eSpell at http://www.dynoplex.com/downloads_v40.shtml

i have attempted to download both of these DEMO programs and neither have worked on my 8700. I contacted the BBSPELL support people who told me they would not support the DEMO version but they would help if I purchased the product. I just tried to load ESPELL and it will load because of some missing application. I have not contacted ESPELL support yet. I was successful in downloading the Beiks Pocket Dictionary and found it extremely useful. Althoug the dictionary does not perform "spellcheck" it is very easy to switch from email to the dictionary and back again.

I have used BBSpell for a while, and it works very well for me.

I adopted the BBCorrector Sourceforge project. For me I do not like some other server having access to my emails to correct the spelling.

For now, bbCorrector is not a good choice for anyone on 4.02 or 4.1 Blackberry OS due to an incompatibility. See last few posts in this thread:
http://www.blackberryforums.com/show...ht=bbcorrector

What problem are you having with bbSpell and your 8700? bbSpell works well on the 8700. I imagine you have a connectivity type issue? In order to use any network aware applications, your TCP control panel must be properly configured. Please see:
