Please Login to Remove!

I have the berry faries smiling down at me cuz I dropped mine in a batch of rocks, yes rocks...as I was going out to let the ridgeback in the house, she swipped me, berry went flying out of my hands, and it got all banged up in all the right places. Screen has no scratches, and it works just fine! yes I know there are protectors out there.....yes I am going to buy one.

I've dropped mine a couple of times. Luckily, only one or two of them were hard falls. Usually I'm able to break the fall with my foot or drop it on the carpet or something like that. Mine has no scratches on the screen but a few cuts around it. But my BB loves pain. It told me so.

Wink I have beaten the **** out of mine ...

My 7250 has been dropped more times than I can count. It's fallen off my belt, out of my car, down flights of stairs ... It's landed on hardwood, concrete, asphalt, rocks, grass, snow ...

I once tripped and knocked it out of the holster, the device flew about 5 feet in the air and skidded in between a concrete block staircase and the side of my house. I had to fish it out of a pile of rocks, leaves, twigs, spiderwebs and other assorted junk using a pair barbecue tongs ...

Mine's been around the block ...

I have the Sena flap case with a a beltclip that just sort of pinwheels instead of ratchets. Getting out of the car causes the belt clip to rotate, so the other night I came home late, got out of the car and the BB spun and spit out of the Sena holder and bounced to the concrete, coming to rest right under the middle of my car! I suppose I could have backed out carefully and gotten it, but I didn't want to risk it, so I laid down on my stomach and stretched under and got it, considerably scratched but apparently otherwise unharmed. I order a different case the next day.

Dropped my 8700c into a recliner, behind furniture, I keep snagging the holster on cars in parking lots.

*whistles innocently* only two deep scratches near the scroll wheel..

Very funny. I love it.

I have dropped mine countless times. It has character/squared. But I have the invisible shield on my screen, so THAT remains character free.

So you guys spend $400 plus for something and can't invest $5.00 for a decent screen clearshield or at most $20.00 for a full coverage case...

that's ghetto!

Default Dropped - works fine. Using Fortte case now

Just got my 8700c last Friday. The holster (rigid plastic with ratchet clip) that comes with it is terrible. I've had the BB slip out at least a few times, last night was at an outdoor pub and the BB slipped out and dropped onto CEMENT ...bounced and slid ...and works fine with just a *tiny* scratch on one corner. This morning my new Fortte case was at the front door, and that case is awesome. All buttons, speaker, mic, screen ...everything is completely accessible, the craftsmanship on the Fortte case is perfect (and it looks pretty nice, too) ...and most importantly, my BB is now secured so it can't slip out. It's also wonderful to have a true swivel clip and no more hard plastic edges digging into my side. Just ordered the case on Wednesday and it's already here protecting my BB.

I drop my Berries all the time on my pc keyboard. I bought egrips for this. I wish I had had them when I had my Pocket PC's (1 Compaq, 3 hp iPAQs and 2Dell Axims). I also can't wait to get my Open Face Case.

Dammit. You guys jinxed me. I just dropped it on concrete while sliding it into its holster and scratched up the housing. Thankfully not the screen though...

I dropped mine the day I got it. Fresh out of the box. Just put the battery in and started to put the door back on and whoosh! Right out of my hand. Slight scratch is all I have to report. Lol!

I dropped mine from six feet to concrete about a dozen times in a row to prove a point to a Palm loving friend of mine whose screen had just cracked badly falling from a coffee table to carpet.
