Blackberry Dead (No red LED either)
Please Login to Remove!
OK ive read at least 20-30 threads in this forum and others trying to get my blackberry to work but nothing. Ive seen threads about how to wipe the phone if you get a red led but there seems to be no answer for help regarding a dead blackberry with NO red LED coming on.
1. Cant wipe the phone cause I cant get power to the device.
2. Tried JL_Cmder and BBSAK but since the computer doesnt read there is a device its no use.
3. Tried removing battery and using USB attached to PC, still no red LED
4. Tried letting the phone sit dead with it charged into the USB for over 24hrs, nothing.
5. Tried plugged in with battery over 24hrs, nothing.
6. Tried letting it sit with no battery not plugged in, nothing.
Phone has never been wet. Was working till my gf pulled my battery out of my phone, and when I put it back in my phone never turned on again.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Ive done my due diligence to try and find an anwer before posting but there isnt anything out there that i found useful.
Appreciate any help,
John

Have you tried a wall charger? Sometimes USB is hit or miss depending on the PC.

I think it is the battery. Had a similar problem with my 9000 before I switched to the 800. Try a new battery.
Several similar posts in the 9000, 9500 and 9600 sections.

Hi,
Yeah i had two Blackberry 9000s and i swapped them.
But i put the phone on charge with the USB Cable and the Wall charger .
It turned on but when it went to the battery with the bolt inside of it , i tried to press the turn on button but it wouldn't work . Its like the keypads broken.
But it hasn't dropped of smashed.
Thanks,
Jaaaacob.

Re: Blackberry Dead (No red LED either)
Hi Guys
Got the same problem this morning and didn't panic but began to google for a solution. I couldn't find a suitable one (but haven't even searched that much...) but I finally SOLVED IT and got my BB back working.
1. BB with wall charger, no image, no led
2. removed battery and plugged wall charger again: after few secs, got the red led and battery image with a red cross
3. unplugged, put the battery back on, red led immediately switches on
4. plugged in wall adapter: BB is bootstrapping
5. BB up&running!
Cheers,
Alex

Re: Blackberry Dead (No red LED either)
harrygil. MFI is illegal software and is not discussed here. If you use it, you are on your own.
Please do not ask or advise its use. You will be banned if you continue.
Also, please update your profile to indicate your current BB and cell carrier. What you have listed is not correct.
