Hello. I am having an extremely annoying problem with my BB at the moment. When I am using it for mail, texting or anything apart from calls the camera keeps coming on without me being able to stop it.

I'll be halfway through a text and it will automatically skip to the camera. You can cancel out of it but the phone becomes unresponsive and when you do eventually get yourself back to what you were doing about 60% of the time it cuts straight back to the camera.

This whole scenario is happening intermittently but certainly at some point every day.

Yes I have tried a bettery pull. Seems to stop it for maybe an hour, sometimes a day, but it always comes back.

Any more ideas?

Are you using an 8900 or 9000?

Which device do you have? Your profile says 8900 yet you posted in the 9000 section. If you have a 9000, please update your profile. If an 8900, let a mod know and we will move the thread to the correct section.

Try reloading the os.

Are you sure your not hitting the camera button on the side of the device?

You can change that in the options.
