Default IT policy message?

Please Login to Remove!

Why does my phone say "This BB has a blank IT policy on it written by John Clark"? My old bold had an IT policy on it which I removed using the JL Cmd, so why does my new Bold 9000 have this message? I downloaded some free themes....would that cause the message? Thanks

Did your new Bold come with an IT Policy? Just use Jl Cmd and delete the IT policy on this device.

Well, not really sure if this "blank" IT Policy is hurting anything....would just like to know why it's saying that when I lock the screen. Like I mentioned....I did download some BB themes, but not sure if this would cause an IT Policy message. Is it in the sim card or something?

Did you connect the new Bold to the same BlackBerry Desktop Manager that you had previously used to remove the IT Policy from your old Bold?
If so, then you essentially pushed the blank IT policy to your new phone once you connected it.

WOW!!!! Yes I did!!! That's exactly what happened. What can I do to remove it, or should I even be concerned? Thanks so much!

No cause for concern.

Change your owner information in Options.

No. It's blank. It removes all restrictions.

If you really want to get rid of it, just use JL_cmder and use the 'reset to factory' option.
(Then, don't connect it back to Desktop Manager on your PC until you remove the blank IT policy from your computer.)
