When you want to get an update on your order a receipt number is not something I can look up. You must email me with the yahoo order #, it starts with yhst.

Yes I do get busy and when I expect to email a customer their code at night and I get emails during the day requesting an update I normally will not answer them due to the fact that turnaround times are listed on the site. BUT sometimes things don’t go as smoothly as possible and when I don’t get back in touch when it’s been longer than the advertised time I do apologize about this.

A certain % of Cingular / AT&T imeis are never added to the database

Well, mine is a demo arranged by my AT&T rep... Packing list shows.... "Shipped From" shows IMS/Fastpak in Franklin, WI... "sold to" shows Research In Motion, 180 Columbia Street, Waterloo, ON, ATTN: person... "ship to" shows my team member.

It has order number. Customer purchase order number has the RIM person's name filled in.

So... "grey import".. maybe... but not "dubious methods"....

But it has never been activated on AT&T's service.

To be honest.. I wasn't thinking about how you meant it..

My post was more about how I came across mine, which is straight up... but it isn't in the DB either... more like trying to say it doesn't appear to matter...

In my case.. my cell service is T-Mobile... so I was looking for a way to use this Curve as my day to day device with my current phone number/service... until the T-Mobile rep sends me one of theirs.

I seriously thought about the 7-10 service... but for the price, to use this device for only a couple months maybe?? not sure its that worth it.

Submitted an order on July 19 to get a 8300 unlocked and all i got was a paypal confirmation. I have sent emails and have not heard back from gsmphonesource.... I will give it a few more days...

heard from adam and got a full refund..seems my unlock code not in database. i think if you dont get a response it is due to him waiting to see if your phone shows up in database...after three days he refunds your money or gives you a way more expensive alternative.
