I've got a problem in syncing with Gmail's calendar. My contacts do just fine. However, the calendar events that I had created prior to my first use of Google Sync won't move over to the Gmail server. If I create a new event on my BB and sync then the new event is on the Gmail calendar as I would expect.

I've tried changing something on each of the events I had previously on my device, in the hopes that the change would force a sync, but that doesn't help. I've got a bunch of events that I'd rather not have to redo, so if anyone can give me any tips I'd be most grateful.

By the way, I really appreciate the way this community works together. The BlackBerry is powerful, but it is even more so because of the community support.

AFAIK, Google Sync will not sync the calendar events entered on the BB prior to loading and use of the software. Others may know more than I about this ...

I think this has been a problem since sync first came out. Maybe you can try syncing to Google from Outlook or something similar. That doesn't really work so great, but it might save some typing.

Thanks much. I guess over the Christmas holiday I'll spend some time reentering my calendar dates so as to sync with Google then. Oh well, the bright side is I get to have a legitimate excuse to play with my BlackBerry extensively.

Yep, if you read the FAQ's on the Google sync utility they advise you of this.

I had searched on the Google site and didn't see much in the way of FAQ's for the calendar, so I must have missed this. However, you all on this site are better than the FAQ's typically.
