Default What is the minimum BES to support BB 8100?

Please Login to Remove!

We have a user that has BB 8100, and it is the first one for us. He is currently on BES 4.0.4 Hotfix 1 (Exchange 2000).

When he is trying to send a message, he gets "Unable to look up the user info in database" message.

Do I need to update the BES in order to support 8100 and the software version 4.2?

Thanks!

To support all the new policy rules that are unique to the 8100 (and soon to be 8800) you will need the latest service pack. I thought the primary functions would work with older versions of BES.

I have a single 8100 user who is working fine on my BES 2.155 for Exchange 5.5 sp4.

475 other Blackberries are also active on my Pentium 200 BES

Works with BlackBerry Enterprise Server:

* Version 2.1 or higher for Microsoft® Exchange
* Version 2.0 with Service Pack 2 or higher for IBM® Lotus® Domino®
* Version 4.0 or higher for Novell® GroupWise®

Taken directly from BlackBerry.com (BlackBerry)

Did this BlackBerry go through an Enterprise Activation yet?
