Default After wipe/reload off BB is there a way to show old email?

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a way to show all the email on the exchange server, or backwards to a certain point (say, 60 days or so) after a wipe/reload/ent.act.? I've looked around and can't seem to find it.

Thanks,

Erik

Not sure what you mean here. Wiping a BlackBerry will not affect email stored in Exchange.

I guess you don't have a backup..

What you can do is change the message prepopulation. By default it's set to 5 days or 200 messages (whichever comes first). The setting is under Server Properties| Messaging.

he means that the e-mail that was on the device doesn't come back after you wipe/re-activate. it is very irritating - still fresh in my mind from this morning - and I haven't found a setting that would put the mail back on the device.

Ah, yes. I thought there was a registry entry to force pre-population, but I was thinking of the pre-population limits in the old versions.

When I reactivated this morning, none of my mail came back onto my device and I verified that the default, 5 days or 200 messages, is set on the BES. its 4.1.

Message pre-pop will only work the first time you activate. You would have to remove the account and re-add it to get the pre-pop again.

You can force an always pre-population with a registry hack. Only problem is that prepop will only feed the inbox and sent fiolder and none of the personal folders.

Sometimes with the pre-population you need to be careful because you'll have double messages on the device if the device is re-activated without wipe. I think this happens if the account was removed and re-added on BES, but the device was not wiped.
