Default LCS Enterprise Messenger and 4.3 FW

Please Login to Remove!

Hello again,
Today i've encountered the problem that i can't overcome. I have 8110 device with 4.3 FW and i've tried to push LCS Enterprise Messenger (1.1.18) to the device. But no luck, so i took the USB cable and tried that again. But obviously the LCS EM is not made for the 4.3 FW.
Anyone else seen this issue? Any ideas, please?

Because if the LCS EM cannot be used with 4.3 then i'm in a deep trouble. Or am i missing something here, like to hack vendor.xml file (already renamed).

If no ideas will appear, i'm gonna probably raise a call to RIM ...

I am having this problem too with my 8130 and cannot seem to find an answer.

Is anyone else having this problem, or has anyone been able to load LCS on a device running 4.3?

Have you tried the LCS software here:

BlackBerry - BlackBerry | BlackBerry Enterprise Instant Messaging

It's from the RIM web site and should be the latest. If this don't work you might want to contact RIM.

Well, this is the latest version, approx. 5 months old, but thanks anyway.

I've already sent email to RIM so we'll see what they will say.

Any updates on this? I am still waiting on a new version with 4.3 compatability.

Did you say that you had deleted or updated your vendor.xml?

Have you tried installing the 8110 firmware on to the BES to update the vendor.xml and restarting / rebooting the BES?

I have had this issue open with T Support for over a month. It's since been escalated to the software development division. I'm guessing yet another issue with the 4.3 OS. You can read a few more posts here

Software Configurations and 8130 - PinStack.com

When I hear of a fix I will be sure to put something here.
