Are you asking if the blackberry platform is more reliable? Many think so. I've used PPC, Treo and Blackberry, and I can say that my blackberry devices have far outperformed the others in terms of reliability.

Sprint 8700 series Q3 this year, a GSM capable 8700 Q4/2007. This from a Sprint rep yesterday. They are going to push the GSM when its released to open up international opportunities.

All I can tell you is that I owned an XV6700 and kept it for only a day or so, and very quickly bought a BB 7130e. The XV6700 is not ready for prime time....or any time...and you would be doing yourself a favour by switching to the BB OS.

What did you have before the 6700? I currently have a Treo 650, and I am looking at a BB7130 or possibly the xv6700. The Treo is fine for me for everything except telephone use - as a phone, I'd rather have a styrofoam cup and a long piece of string...
I thought I was set on the blackberry until I saw the 6700 - there is something about that Windows logo that makes me think (wow, like having my desktop machine on my belt!)

Anyone used a verizon cdma bberry on a telus network in Canada?
I need to upgrade my snail-speed 7750 that is totally bogged down with a gargantuan adress book, and want the full size keyboard, speakerphone, bluetooth, and evdo. = 8700 series. I see verizon now has an 8703, and telus confirmed that if I obtain the electronic serial number of the device first, and run it by telus they will be able to tell me if they can set the device up for me on the telus network.
has anybody done this or can anybody offer any experience/feedback on this procedure?
thanks, ryan in calgary canada.

I had a Treo600 for a while and I agree with the phone comments. I now have a 7130e and love it as a phone. I've had it since last december when it first came out. If you use the Treo as a PDA at all you won't be happy with the current BB offerings. The 7130e sucks as a PDA. It is an awesome phone though. I rarely drop call and it has great service. You'll miss your tap screen too.
