If your referring to the Blackberry 7290 or 7100 don't hold your breath as both are designed for GSM/GPRS carriers right now. Nextel Blackberry's communicate on an iDEN network have integrated PTT (Push To Talk) and speakerphone.

Nextel is due for something new and the next offering may have different case form factor but its hard to say what it will offer? Bluetooth hopefullty, better battery life and PTT button on the side would be nice!

I'd bet the 7520 is close to coming out. 3.8 and 4.0 OS's have OS provisions for a 7520

Yea, our nextel rep told us a new one is coming, it is the 7520. He wouldn't go in much detail other then they expect q4 for a roll-out. I'm honestly expecting it q1 next year with the way most nextels keep getting pushed back.

I should correct myself. Actually he said the next version of the 7100 would probably be for nextel

My rep advised the 7520 will be out on 12/1/04 with the following info:

"the new BB 7520 w/ GPS, Blue tooth and 2x memory (32 MB) will launch on 12/1"

Thats all the info available at the moment.

I've talked to two different reps out of ATL and they said that it pretty much looks the same other than the case looks a little more rugged. And yeah..GPS, BT...more memory...all that too.

edit*
They both said that in no way will it look like the 7100...

Default PTT

Will the PTT button still be on the top of the unit? I sure wish that they could reloctate it to the left side.

I held the 7520 yesterday. The screen is no bigger but the look is unbelievable. The 7510 screen looked great but this is unreal. Dual stage backlighting, with customizable timeout.
