Arrow ** NEW Curve w/ WiFi on AT&T!?! **

Please Login to Remove!

ok i've heard a lot about this and now i've been contemplating because it's either I get my 8310 Curve this week and not care about this rumor of a 8320 coming to AT&T, or I wait. I'm still buying my damn 8310 because I want a BB!

but this is what my friend, that works at at&t, told me...

I asked him if it's true about them receiving some new Curves w/ wifi (possibly the 8320?).

He said he has no clue when they're coming out, but the regional manager and managers have been discussing it and It's coming out for AT&T in blue, orange, and maybe pink.

alsoooo... i've heard the following from other AT&T workers on other forums.
This new at&t Curve would have...

*O.S. 4.5
*VIDEO Recording
*WiFi
*html
*updated address book/calendar

I hope this is true.... so I can sell the used curve i will be having and then get this wifi one

ANYBODY HAVE INSIDER INFO ?!?!

Other than WiFi, that is the current 8300/8310 with OS 4.5, but I have not heard if AT&T is getting the 8320, I am thinking not yet, with the Bold coming soon. Do you thing your friends were thinking of the Bold?

negative, not the Bold. it's been rumored on other forums too, like crackberry.com. If true, at&t is keeping it hush hush... which idk why!

the phone was listed on the rebate list for at&t too... weird. rebate for the UPCOMING phone possibly?

So what would it matter if the Curve has UMA or not?

AT&T has the Pearl that has WiFi, so I'm sure if the Curve NEEDS it, then it will be come with. That would be the only sensible thing to do

UMA is basically voice over IP. It allows you to make phone calls over the WiFi connection.
AT&T will not have it.

So if all you wanted was a WiFi Curve on AT&T's network... then you could have just gotten any unlocked 8320 months ago. I don't get what the big news is here.

att is apparently working on a new version of uma, no idea when they're going to release it. however, any current att wifi device will be capable of making calls over wifi when it comes out with a software update.

I'd rather have the upcoming Javelin then an 8320. It will have the 4.6 and the better display.

The Javelin hasn't even been officially "released" from RIM's mouth yet, and the BOLD takes forever. It's gonna be ATLEAST by next spring until the Javelin comes out. I want a Curve to play with before then

Your guess is as good as anyone else's. Of course, my T-Mobile rep. has told me otherwise. We'll see how good his crystal ball is.

LOL
You have to wade through a river of BS to get to the shore of truth. On the other hand, you just drown.
