Default How does my BB now that the e-mail I sent was opened?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a blackberry curve... for my e-mail settings I did NOT enable "confirm read"...

on confirm read I put "NO" under options but when i e-mail someone from my gmail account to their gmail account I notice that way at the top of the e-mail when viewed in BlackBerry it will say
"Message Status: opened", meaning the recipient opened the e-mail I assume.... I was just wondering, how does my phone know that the recipient opened their e-mail if I chose to not "enable read"... So how does my phone know that the other person actually opened the mail?

Ok, thanks for telling me... I misunderstood it and thought it meant that the other person opened it...
