Not sure if you can use it in Canada, but if you can, the application Poynt is what I use to look up businesses and numbers. Then you can just click the call the place.

Can you give a specific example of what you use to search and copy?

I often use Google to search businesses as well as people and I find that the results do include links that I click and can dial directly from the search results.

I also just verified that I copied a phone number in a Google search result, opened the Phone app and pasted the number into that window using the BB Menu key. Editing may be needed if you need to add a Country Code or the "1" prefix, but I did not have an issue using the copy and paste function on my 9330.

You should be able to initiate the call by clicking on the number in the web page, and you will be prompted with the number and call and cancel buttons. I just checked and I am able to do it. No need to cut and paste. If not, first step would be to do a hard reset and try again.

AFter making the call you should have the option via the Menu key to create a new contact with that number or to add it to an existing contact.

Maybe the problem is you are not clicking on and opening that link in Google. Once you open the link you should see a clickable phone number in the body and if not you should be able to highlight, copy and then paste.

If you are trying to do that from a result page on a BB I can understand that it won't work.

Is that what you are trying to do?

So from that page you open from the link you don't get a phone number you can click to dial?

Can you place your cursor at the beginning of the phone number > press and hold the left or right CAP button > scroll across the number to hightlight > press BB Menu key > Select Copy > Press the Phone button > Cursor in top bar > BB Menu key > Paste

BTW....you should also be able to do this in the Google results page.

I hope my description is clear enough. I don't know why you don't get "clickable" links in the web pages.

So am I. I don't understand why you can't click phone numbers from withing web pages.

What is the setting for your Browser and Browser ID, BlackBerry Browser? With an open web page > BB menu key > Options > Browser Configuration

Are the other items checked in the list like Support Java Script, etc......?
